Showdown

In the original version of "Showdown" published in Transformers US 20, after Skids has defeated Ravage (out of sheer dumb luck!), he is offered yet another soap-down by Charlene. (Apparently she is no longer satisfied by human men, so turns her attention to transforming mini-vans and beckons them into her carport with the promise of a swift hubcap polish. The temptress!)

But Skids lets her down gently, clearly preferring to drive off into the sunset with Donny Finkleberg instead. Read into that what you will. However, the UK reprint (in Transformers UK 73) changes his dialogue very subtly to pave the way for the next story, "In the National Interest".
