Beachcomber (1993)

Beachcomber’s mould is re-released in 1993 with a new colour scheme for the “Transformers: Generation 2″ line. Here in the UK, it is a Woolworth’s exclusive.

Transformers Generation 2 Mini-Autobot Beachcomber (1993)The blue plastic on the original Beachcomber has been replaced with chrome green. The pearlescent grey is now a shade or two darker and the flat grey plastic is replaced with neon red/orange.

The mould itself is changed as well: Beachcomber’s right arm now sports a “Hasbro” copyright stamp instead of the cross-hatch detailing. Also, the rubber tyres now have “Dunlop” moulded onto the surfaces.

In keeping with other Generation 2 Transformers, Beachcomber has the word “Autobot” and the new-look allegiance badge screen printed on the right hand side of the vehicle.

See Beachcomber’s review for more details.
