Darkwing - Update

Darkwing’s new body is just another item on his ever growing list of complaints to share with his fellow Decepticons. He would have preferred to have been outright destroyed by Megatron instead of reconstructed. Even with his new abilities and weapons, he’s still not happy. Recent events, such as the death of Throttle and his former leader Bludgeon, and the fact that Dreadwind was also revived, have affirmed to him that he had the right attitude all along—that nothing good ever lasts.

Abilities: Thanks to extensive reconstruction and advances in exo-suit technology Darkwing’s new armour grants him the ability to remain completely undetected by radar sensors. In his Stealth Bomber mode, he can achieve sub-orbital altitudes that allow him to bomb Autobot strongholds without being detected. He is armed with a shoulder-mounted gatling cannon that can fire a multitude of long-range projectiles, including air-to-air missiles, heat-seekers, cluster bombs and homing missiles. He also possesses an intermediate heavily armoured ground mode.

Weaknesses: Darkwing’s new body is bulkier and less agile than his previous one. His jet mode is slower and less manoeuvrable. Despite his thicker armour and increased armaments, he can be left outclassed by an aerial foe that his old form could otherwise have dealt with.
