Blaster is not a team player. To all outward appearances, it seems he's only interested in looking out for himself, that he throws himself into battle for his own personal glory. The truth is that Blaster lost all faith in the Autobot ideal during the early stages of the Autobot/Decepticon war on Cybertron. He shoulders the burden of the protection of all non-allied Transformers on Cybertron alone, preferring his own methods compared to the recommended protocols issued by High Command. He is not afraid to let his presence or his outspoken opinions known, and will push himself into the forefront of any situation. Above it all, however, and whether intentional or not, Blaster commands the respect of his comrades with his charismatic and heroic actions.

Abilities: Blaster possesses some of the most sophisticated communications hardware ever developed on Cybertron. He can transmit and receive all frequencies of radio signals up to a radius of over 10,000 km. His signal detection is so sensitive that he can detect radiowaves as weak as one millionth of a watt. Additional custom-programmed wetware plugins allow Blaster to cut through Decepticon interference and jamming fields and relay his own secure coded transmissions. In robot mode, Blaster is armed with a powerful electro-scrambler rifle, which can emit high amplitude electro-magentic energy waves that penetrate armour and circuit shielding to disrupt the operations of almost all electrical devices and components. Blaster can augment his combat capabilities with an energon-powered back-mounted flight-pack. The flight-pack can propel Blaster at airborne speeds in excess of 180 km/h. The flight-pack can convert into a tractor beam electron gun.

Weaknesses: Blaster's self-destructive personality can lead him into situations more dangerous than he can hope to handle. When using his flight-pack, Blaster is an easy target due to his slow speeds. Signal fields of intense radio static can hamper his operations, sometimes to the point of rendering him unconscious.
