After eight issues of treading lightly and skipping gingerly in and out of the events depicted in the Transformers (2007) film, Titan Magazines, fueled no doubt by strong sales, puts on its continuity-stomping boots and starts running with its own “alternate future” storyline.

Scorponok might be the one who resurfaces in Qatar in “Scorpion Sting” but it’s the return of Stewart “Staz” Johnson that is the highlight of this story. Like Geoff Senior’s return in Titan’s Transformers first issue, Staz’s return is something to get the fans excited.

Meet Jazz: Curious, cool, and clearly concerned only with himself. While Ratchet and Ironhide want nothing more than to get home, Jazz sees being lost in space as the perfect opportunity to remove himself as much as possible from the war on Cybertron.
